Sumo Placer en Sibaris

Last night we went to Sumito Estevez new restaurant Sibaris for the premier of Sumo Placer, the new season of Sumito's cooking show on the Gourmet Channel. The restaurant is drop dead gorgeous. The pictures do not do them any justice, they were taken with a Nokia 6600. Of course, my pictures are never very good, but I always have an excuse! We tour the place then sat down and listen to Ivan Loscher present Sumito andhis associates. Then we kind of saw one of the shows, except people started talking, which made it hard to hear and, later, standing up, which made it impossible to see! But it was nevertheless a great evening. I'm dying to go to the restaurant that opens tonight, and I even boasted that I was going to go for lunch tomorrow. Sadly, my car situation has improved somewhat, but not to the point that I have a car (it seems Seat Venezuela doesn't use Google ). At any rate, I'll go as soon as I can and report back to you.
