F1: Alonso to join McLaren. World champion Fernando Alonso will leave Renault for McLaren in 2007. [BBC News | News Front Page | UK Edition]

This is a bad idea. Why announce it before the season? What do you think Briattore will do? Favor Alonso? I bet this means the new Renault is not up to snuf. Will next year be McLaren vs. Ferrari? I can't wait!
