Xbox 360 can't be found After hearing a lot of rumors I can confirm that that the Xbox 360 couldn't be found yesterday. The scarcity is very much real, with some people saying there won't be any more till after Xmass. I don't know if that justifies stealing them!. The technique of creating scarcity is interesting, but I don't know if it is true. First of all, ramping up production is hard. You can't keep them around, because that's expensive and at first more machines are defective and the number of built machines are lower, because of defect and other problems, than when the production gets to normal. If that's the case, we should see machines before Xmass. It is theoretically bad no to sell machines to people that want them, they made change their minds, specially if you see reports like this one or that the machine is not as good as expected. I think there is little risk in the case of the Xbox. But we shall see. For one, I would have bought one this week, for the novelty, doubt I will buy it later on....
